Philip is a heirloom, portrait, and brand photographer based in College Station, Texas — five generations of his family run back to Louisiana, through Texas A&M, and into the studio where he now makes portraits families keep for a lifetime.
He didn’t start with heirlooms. Like a lot of photographers, he shot a bit of everything, burned out, and stepped away for a while. What pulled him back was the realization that a heirloom portrait isn’t a service you sell — it’s a product. A finished, oval-matted print someone hangs on the wall and passes down. That reframing changed how he shot, how he priced, and eventually how he taught.
Over four live cohorts, Philip refined the whole thing into a system: the exact gear, the lighting setup, the camera settings, the edit, and the delivery — repeatable enough that a student could walk away and produce the same look on their own clients. The live cohorts were always meant as reps to figure out how to teach it. This course is the finished version.
